Every market I pass the Made Goods showroom and just drool at the incredible mirrors and lighting that they offer. They have recently expanded into furniture and small accents. Everything is simply to die for!!!
I have not yet ordered from this little gem of a company, therefore, I am making it my mission to work some of their special goodies into my current and upcoming projects.
You must go to their website and check out all of their unique products!!!
Here is a sampling...
Cool stuff, huh!?!?!

Naughty or nice?
Pastels are the norm when people think of selecting colors for their nurseries or children's room. Light and airy can absolutely be beautiful, and very fitting if your little one walks around with a halo over head.
Personally, I love how strong colors can add so much personality to a space. Especially in a kids room. Let's be honest here...not all of our kids fit in a sweet, pastel room!!! I like the idea of designing the space based on personality versus what the parent finds pretty and pleasing.
Which room do/does your little angel/s fit best in?

Decisions, decisions...
Last year we went on our first family cruise. I really didn't think it was going to be my thing- stuck on a boat, in the middle of the ocean, with lots of other people! The thought if it was just kind of creepy!!
Turns out, we had a blast!! Everything was just so easy!
Traveling with 2 youngish kids can be a challenge and lots of work. The thought of driving 6+ hours to a beach house, loaded down with luggage, beach toys, impatient kids, and a grouchy husband (because of the impatient kids) makes me cringe. Then you have the unloading, grocery shopping, and bed making to look forward to before you can even think of relaxing on the beach.
Don't get me wrong...I wouldn't pass up a house on the beach, but right now, the thought of hopping on a boat where everything is taken care of sounds absolutely perfect!! My big dilemma is...where do we go??
Option #1, Bermuda....
or,
Option #2, Bahamas...

Sneak peek...
So busy this week that I haven't had a chance to do any posting.
I thought I would give you a little sneak peek of something that is being detailed for order placement.
I mentioned awhile back that I am working on a breakfast nook that will have a banquette. Well, the banquette has been decided on and it's the lovely Bistro Banquette through Hickory Chair. I am doing an L-shape as you see here in the photo- my specs are just larger. The banquette will have windows as a backdrop (can't wait to show you the incredible drapery fabric we selected) on both sides so I chose to do an indoor/ outdoor fabric to help with fading from the sun. The fabric is a great shade of bronzy gold. To add some extra oomph we are going to pipe the channels in black. I think a great black and white hide would be a nice addition under the table!!
I have so many cool orders going in right now! I'm just bummed because I have no time to share them.
Soon!

What a start to the week!!!
So, it's Monday...it's pouring...and my keys are locked in the car!!! What a way to start the week! Thank goodness I had today scheduled as an office day!!
We spent the day yesterday running around looking for plants to put in the front yard and it seems as if I left my keys in the center console. When the hubby closed the windows and the sunroof (it looked like rain was coming) he also locked the car with his keys not realizing mine were still in there.
I ended up having to walk poor Chloe to school, after tearing up the house looking for the keys, in the pouring rain...hopefully, it will ease off when it's time for her to come home. Thanks to the flexibility of a friend's Au pair, Cole made it school only a few minutes late. Oh, how I love mornings like this!!! Did I mention that we also overslept??? Oh well, tomorrow's another day.
On the positive side... I am detailing a LR, FR, and breakfast nook today and am fortunate to be using some of the incredible fabrics from the Kelly Wearstler collection through Groundworks. For those of you who are not familiar with Kelly Wearstler, she is an LA-based interior designer, textile designer, and fashion designer. She has created an empire with her incredible sense of style! You can check out all of her offerings here.

A little something for the Mom's!
Happy Mother's Day weekend to all the moms out there!!! May you all get spoiled for all of the hard work you do!
I would have to say my that ideal mother's day (week) would look a little bit like this...
I would start the day (oops, I mean week) with a little QT with the kids and would be thrilled to get the sweet hand written cards and projects that I absolutely treasure.
Then, I would be off to some exotic location for a little R&R! Minus kids! I sure do love them, but Mother's Day, to me, is the perfect time to schedule yourself a little time away to refresh. Don't we deserve it???!!!
I would spend my nights here-
Have breakfast every morning here-
Sip on these all day.
While I relax here-

A couple new sources at Erika Bonnell, Inc.
I am very excited to have added a couple of new sources to my already very large collection of product offerings here at Erika Bonnell, Inc.
The first is Tritter Feefer. I know- interesting name, huh?? They have an incredible collection of casegoods that are very reasonably priced and totally customizable!
There was no issue at all when I contacted them about altering one of their dining tables to fit my specific needs. They were more than willing to help make the table exactly what it needed to be to fit in the designated space. I LOVE companies like that!! And, they have 46 finishes to choose from!!

Next is Lee Industries. I have been looking to add another upholstery line that compliments the companies that I already have... and this one fits perfect! They have a great selection of traditional furnishings along with cleaner-lined pieces. Something for everyone! And, once again, we can customize size!!
Designer Tobi Fairly used Lee in the following pics.
